Surge is a reflection of a tumultuous time in my life. I felt like I was drowning, a failure after losing my job due to the pandemic. I felt as if I was giving everything and it wasn't enough in my professional life. I found myself stuck in my head, feeling like I would never be able to provide and would be defined by failure. Surge is the visual expression of my headspace at the time.
